[오늘 수업 정리]
※ 오늘은 파트 4 5 6 을 예제를 통하여 자세하게 배웠습니다.
1) 영어에도 높힘 말이 있다.
- I'm honored > I appreciate it > thank you
- I'm apologize > I'm sorry
2) 단어의 의미를 알자
- watch : 움직이는 대상을 봄. TV나 영화를 보는 것
- look : 뭔가를 봄 ※ 범용성이 높다
- see : 뭔가 거리감이 있는 걸 봄
- stare : 뭔가를 뚫어지게 봄 ※ 파트2에서는 거의 안 쓰이는 단어
- glance : 힐끗 봄
- plastic queen : 성형괴물
- quantity : 깡통 같은 것 안에 든 '양'
- portion : 먹는 양 같은 취급되는 '양'
예) I control my portion for diet.
3) ~하기로 되어 있다는 말에는
보통 be supposed to 를 쓴다.
be planned to 는 잘 안 씀.
4) 파트5 8번은 "나는 이렇게 알고 있는데 맞나요?"라고 묻는
경우가 많다.
하지만 이 때 "No"라고 대답하면 대단히 무례한 표현이
되므로 "Well, I'm afraid not"이라고 대답하자.
※ You got a wrong information 은 거의 안 쓰는 표현.
5) immediate는 대화체에서는 어색하다 right after를 쓰자.
6) 파트5 9번에서 "would you~?" 나 "Could you~?"로 묻는다면,
일단 "Sure"라고 하고, 완전한 문장으로 대답하자.
